What if I told you that thoughts are just sentences in your brain - not reality. What if I told you that emotions are just temporary sensations in your body - that can pass in 90 seconds when we don’t resist them.
Thinking we are alone, based on the sentences in our brain or the sensations in our body - and feeling broken because of them - dictates so many of our decisions.
And when we believe the lie that we are the problem:
We feel stuck. Like “standing-in-wet-cement,” kind of stuck.
We believe anxiety is who we are instead of an emotion we experience.
We feel shame. So much shame.
We use food, alcohol, sugar, shopping, or our phones as rewards, punishments, or distractions.
We have crappy boundaries or no boundaries at all.
We don’t ask for what we want or need in relationships.
We feel like we need to conform when what we really want is to be the amazing weirdos we are!
Sound familiar? Then it’s time to Reset Your Mindset. Overcoming the lie is as simple as befriending your brain and your body.
