Dior Goodjohn Talks Percy Jackson Season 2, Clarisse’s Love Interests, Making Music, and Naya Rivera

12/10/2025
Dior Goodjohn is an exuberant human with a capital E. Sit her on the couch, she just goes, goes, goes, so it’s not surprising that she’s been modeling and acting since she was in single digits… and now she has her sights set on singing too. We chat about being raised in West Hollywood, her Iranian roots, and of course her biggest role to date, as the spiky Clarisse La Rue, who’s evolving fast and getting more screen time as Disney’s Percy Jackson & the Olympians heads into season 2 (and 3). Of course we get the skinny on her landing the coveted role, plus she lifts the lid on what it’s like working at Disney, her early years on Head of the Class, her character’s love life (it’s about to get interesting), why she likens herself to Rick Ross, and her memories playing young Santana on the set of Glee. Aaaaand, a lot more inbetween. Check out Audible's Best of 2025 and discover why there's more to imagine when you listen. Jessi Talks 'Girls Like Me,' Controversy, Marriage, and New EP ‘P.M.S.’

12/9/2025
Jessi’s back! It’s been a minute since we last talked to her and about a year since she was in the public eye in a serious way. She had to take a break, the situation got cleared up, but she’s still clearly feeling the repercussions — and here, for the first time, she sets the record straight. Now she’s back with her new EP P.M.S., kicking off with her addictive new single ‘Newsflash’ with Jadakiss. She’s as fiery, funny, and unconventional as ever, but for all her feistyness the 36-year-old is vulnerable too and she’s keen to show this side of herself, not only in music, but in conversation. We talk about her childhood in Jersey, getting bullied and her subsequent glow up. Moving to Korea to make outside of the idol system, and winding up on reality show Unpretty Rapstar! She also discusses working with PSY (and other different labels), trying to make space for love (we fill her in on the existence of Raya and her brain is blown), plus so much more! Nathy Peluso Talks New Salsa EP ‘MALPORTADA,’ Esmeralda, BZRP, and Phil Collins

12/8/2025
Argentinian-born, Barcelona-based creative powerhouse Nathy Peluso joins us in the studio to talk about it all: her beginnings studying theatre and writing poetry for cash, on the spot on a typewriter on the streets of Barca, and how she moved from rapping to singing to her latest salsa EP, MALPORTADA, a genre that’s been a guiding force for her since childhood. We discuss her thoughts on what salsa purists might think, male rappers getting riled up when she swooped in and snagged the Latin Grammy for ‘Aprender a Amar’ back in 2024 (she’s won four in total). We also get into her love for Phil Collins and his connection to the album she scrapped before 2024’s Grasa (will it ever see the light of day?!), how she lost and found her pleasure center, the difference between salsa sung by men vs women, plus did she just get married in Vegas?! Rita Ora Talks New Music, Avicii, Taika Waititi, Descendants and Fyre Festival Musical

11/26/2025
It’s a been a minute — or six years — since we last caught up with Rita Ora and a lot has happened: she got married (to director Taika Waititi), she release an album (2023’s You & I), she’s hosted so many TV shows, and really gone deep with the acting (Queen of Hearts in The Descendants, opposite Brandy no less). We talk about all this plus her early years from interning at a London record studio to getting signed by Jay Z and moving to NYC, not to mention her dance roots, this new era and — oh my god — collaborating with Taika on (amongst other projects) a musical inspired by the hilarious catastrophe that was Fyre Festival with music by, wait for it, Adele (and her longtime collaborator/songwriter Paul Epworth). And this is just the tip of the iceberg because the Kosovan-born, British-raised, 36-year-old, multi-hyphenate extraordinaire has experienced so much. And she’s got some tips for turkey roasting. Allie X Talks 7th Floor, Reunite, and New Album "Happiness Is Going To Get You"

11/24/2025
It’s only been 18 months since we last had Allie X on the couch talking about her third album Girl with No Face, but she’s already back with her new, fourth record, Happiness Is Going to Get You — a quasi-concept things of wonder, a repetitive piano note which begins the album and rings out as its closing coda. A record that centers around the time traveling hirsute character that is Infant Marie, with songs that examine male emotional repression, reuniting with oneself, a shitty uncle as a metaphor for the music industry, and so much more. We talk about all this plus Allie X versus Allie Hughes, the beauty and sadness of trying to stay naive, songwriting for others, hard truths, suffering for one’s art, and most importantly how Allie is going to teach Zach how to sing. Ejae Talks "Golden," KPop Demon Hunters and "In Another World"

11/14/2025
Hot on the heels of our interview with Audrey Nuna — the singing voice of Mira in KPop Demon Hunters — we’ve got Ejae in the hot seat. Her journey to become the singing voice of Rumi is pretty different. The Korean-American singer spent 11 years as a trainee and was dropped before she debuted, ultimately finding her way into songwriting, via Tisch School of Arts, and even returning to the very KPop company who dropped her to pen hits for other acts like Red Velvet, Twice, and Le Sserafim. We get the skinny on what it was really like being K-pop trainee, why she was dropped, what Tisch was like (her classmates included Lauv, Phoebe Ryan, and Fletcher), and how she broke into songwriting, eventually leading to her writing the pop juggernaut that is ‘Golden’ (Grammy nominated!), not to mention a bunch of the other songs on the soundtrack. And let’s just say writing for film is very different than writing for a pop group. Rei Ami, Audrey Nuna, and Ejae have only recently started performing live together and Ejae’s still getting her feet wet when it comes to the stage — it can be panic-inducing — so we also get into that, plus her debut solo single ‘In Another World,’ and so much more! Kathy Griffin Talks Facelifts, My Life on the D-List, Donald Trump and New Comedy Special

11/12/2025
Kathy Griffin needs no introduction. This fiery redhead has been making people laugh and causing a ruckus with her unapologetic tea-spilling celebrity anecdotes since the 90s. A self-proclaimed stand-up addict, she joins us in the studio for the first time ever — on her 65th birthday — to talk about her weekly YouTube show, Talk Your Head Off, and her new comedy special, also on YouTube, My Life On the PTSD List. The title is of course a play on her groundbreaking, Emmy-winning reality show My Life On the D List, which was one of the genre and era-defining Bravo shows in the 2000s, and now it’s also on, you guessed it, YouTube. All for free. We talk about all this, plus her new face (it’s her third), getting thrown out of Paris Hilton’s party, Kris Jenner, body dysmorphia, how she manages to maintain relationships when she’s always being so delightfully, hilariously, and publicly indiscreet. This woman has more comedy specials than any other comedian, man or woman! Plus we discuss Joan Rivers, falling out with Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen, talking crap about Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen, dating Quentin Tarantino and Steve Wozniak (not at the same time). We also dig into what was the most seismic moment of her life: when photographer Tyler Shields snapped a shot of her holding up a rubber mask of Trump covered in ketchup. It sparked a chain of overreactions from the President that saw her put on the no-fly list and investigated like a terrorist. So much for free speech! It tanked her career for seven years, and led to a series of really dark periods with drugs and suicidal ideation that also coincided with her losing her mom, the pandemic, getting lung cancer even though she never smoked! Woof. This convo is a wild ride and Zach and Dan definitely get a roasting too. And we’ve finally got her on the couch to discuss her newest novel, the Victorian-set, YA page-turner, Where There’s Room For Us. We also do some deep dives into her acting catalogue from Disney’s Lemonade Mouth to Jem and the Holograms, which was directed by John M. Chu! Jem was also where Kiyoko met Stefanie Scott who she cast in the ‘Girls Like Girls’ music video and who she ended up co-writing the screenplay for Girls Like Girls the movie… which is on the way. We discuss all of that, not to mention her upbringing in a creative household, the landscape for musicians these days versus even ten years ago, and also the landscape for queer artists, plus so much more. Cortis Talks GO!, FaSHioN and Debut EP "COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES"

10/31/2025
CORTIS are not like other K-pop crews. Yes they ultimately trained like idols, but the quintet spent years within Big Hit Music as songwriters/producers for others — they knew of each other before they were actually brought together as a group (more on that in their interview). They only just debuted with their first EP Color Outside the Lines this past September and the collection pops. Featuring a stellar collaboration with Teeezo Touchdown, their songs like ‘FaSHioN’ (inspired by a trip vintage shopping on Fairfax in LA) showcase a harder edge, a certain nod to heroes Brockhampton, Odd Future, and ASAP Mobb, while ‘JoyRide’ offers a melancholy, emo-tinged vibe (despite the title). Most notably James, Juhoon, Martin, Seonghyeon, Keonho are humming with ideas, shooting and editing many of their own videos before blowing out the budget and heading to farflung places like the snowy mountains of New Zealand to make more MVs. By their own admission, they’re still teenagers (okay, James just turned 20), they want to have fun, eat good food, and go vintage shopping because full price designer threads aren’t exactly in budget. Songs about girls? Right now they’re not interested. We discuss all this and more on their first time on the couch. Definitely one of South Korea’s most exciting and authentic new groups. Justice Smith has been carving a name for himself since his big break in Baz Lurhmann’s The Get Down (2016) as an actor who balances big blockbusters with hefty legacies and built-in fanbases (Jurassic Park, Pokemon, Dungeons & Dragons), with subversive indie films such as A24’s triumph I Saw The TV Glow with its broader trans metaphor, The American Society of Magical Negroes, and high school TV series Genera+ion. Lukas Gage is everywhere. He’s in everything! White Lotus, Euphoria, Smile 2, Love, Victor, Fargo, the film of the year, Companion… and now he has a memoir out, I Wrote This for Attention, which, as you might imagine is a page turner. In the book (and on the couch) he covers his tumultuous upbringing, rebellion, drugs, rehab wilderness camp, and sadly abuse, plus his first decade in Hollywood, hustling hard and dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder, with the same candor and humor he comes to the studio with. If you’re looking for Chris Appleton, Kim Kardashian-officiated marriage tea, it’s mentioned briefly in the book, and we chat about it a bit here, but it’s really the least interesting part of his life and career. He also discusses getting his a$$ eaten on White Lotus, STDs, trust and abandonment issues, how he deals with BPD, getting accused of queerbaiting, mukbangs, Sam Levinson, eccentric older ladies, Noah Centineo, that viral video, and so much more. Julia Wolf Talks "In My Room," Twilight, Drake and New Album 'Pressure'

10/27/2025
Long Island-born Julia Wolf has been dropping intimate confessionals since 2019, making waves in 2021 with catchy, synthy-pop cuts like ‘Resting Bitch Face Pt. 2’ and ‘Falling In Love,’ before signing to a major label and dropping her debut full length Girls In Purgatory that same year. In 2025 she surprised everyone by dropping her third album, PRESSURE, via AWAL. Not only was she back on her DIY hustle — she’s often produced her artwork and creative direction from her bedroom base — but Julia Wolf 2.0, with the help of producer Scro, has pivoted away from her smooth pop grooves to a tougher sound, incorporating distorted riffs, pummelling speed metal drums, and glitchy beats, with Wolf’s voice as the emotive, vulnerable glue. Think Paramore meets Evanescence. And yes there were plenty of industry naysayers who were like, what the hell is this new sound? But she stuck to her guns and just look at her go. She joins us on the couch to discuss this stylistic pivot and the wild whiplash of the past few years including the viral success of ‘In My Room’ blowing up on TikTok with a Twilight slideshow, exactly how Drake became a fan and collaborator, teaming up with Machine Gun Kelly on a Goo Goo Dolls cover and their upcoming arena tour. Plus we get into her abiding Twilight obsession (she played the Swan house in Oregon), deep-seated insecurities (‘Jennifer’s Body’ and what MKG thinks of a track that references his baby momma’s cult film), finding love, ASMR, feeling like a loser in high school, her Italian roots, leaving the East Coast for LA, and so much more. Pentatonix Talks New Christmas Album, A cappella, Daft Punk and Dolly Parton

10/24/2025
Tis the season! Well not exactly, but it’s always that season for Pentatonix, the jaw-dropping a cappella crew who spend around 11 months of the year thinking about the next holiday season. And this one incoming will bring you a new album — Christmas In the City — and a tour. They stopped in to discuss their reality TV origin story, getting dropped, virality, when’s that evolution of Taylor Swift dropping, cellist/beatboxer Kevin Olusola’s life-changing time in China (his fluency in Mandarin is a delight to behold), and of course they serve up a little singing number. Plus they chat onstage fuck-ups, delusional optimism, taking risk, queer Christmas movies, Joni, Mariah, and more.
