Gods and demons had always fought amongst themselves according to Hindu Mythology. This story presents that universal conflict between good and evil, problematizing the very concepts of good and evil. It challenges the dominant discourse of the gods (representing the upper caste, aristocratic, capitalist class of the society) that they were the up keepers of law and the rakshshas were the miscreants. This story oscillates between an epic past and contemporary times but is more dominantly set in modern sub urban landscape of the present decade. The age old battle plays out in the modern city/mofussil backdrop and involves angles of love, revenge and betrayal.
