The National Park Service says it will appeal a federal judge's decision, ordering it to restore slavery exhibits to the President’s House on Independence Mall. KYW’s City Hall bureau chief Pat Loeb reports. Camden County officials who had hoped to build a new regional prison, adjacent to Ancora Psychiatric Hospital in Winslow Township, are now looking for a new site. The update from KYW South Jersey reporter Mike Dougherty. The Historical Society of Pennsylvania is hosting a free event celebrating a special Black history Month milestone. KYW's Shara Dae Howard spoke with one of the organizers of the event. Civil rights advocates in our area are remembering the life and legacy of civil rights icon, Reverend Jesse Jackson. KYW Newsradio's Nigel Thompson was there. *** A key anniversary THIS WEEK in Flyers history: six decades ago the NHL decided to expand from six to twelve teams. Philadelphia police have identified the man killed in a violent crash Friday morning on Frankford Avenue in the Northeast. Police say 32-year-old Ziyodillo Tursunpulatov (Zee-YOH-dill-oh Toor-soon-poo-LAH-tov) was speeding when he slammed into a utility pole and a parked car. The impact sent the engine flying out of the SUV. KYW's Tim Jimenez has more from Torresdale. Some lawmakers in Harrisburg are once again pushing for an expansion of on-demand alcohol ordering and delivery through third-party apps like Door-Dash or Insta-cart. But the move is prompting concerns about underage drinking, as we hear from KYW Suburban Bureau Chief Jim Melwert... Philadelphia City Council now seems unlikely to pass a bill that would ban the burning of the city’s trash, but the bill’s sponsor is not giving up.
