A 41-year-old Warrington man is charged with attempted murder, accused of shooting at another driver during a road rage incident in Newtown Monday night. ... If you rely on SEPTA regional rail, you can expect those delays to last a while longer. ... Pennsylvania Senate Democrats are urging action to support food banks, and meal service organizations as SNAP payments are due to be withheld as of November 1st during the Federal Government Shutdown. ... The shooting happened just before 9:30pm at the school's YardFest, celebrating homecoming weekend, causing a stampede as people ran for safety. This woman was visiting. *** To Montgomery County now, where a 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after police say he hit two police officers with his SUV in Plymouth Meeting on Friday...right across the street from the mall. KYW Newsradio's Sunny Morgan reports he's being held without bail. *** A unique gathering in Center City today to commemorate the 30th anniversary of The Million Man March in Washington. People from different neighborhoods all around the city converging on LOVE Park for a rally and a ceremony. Organizers wanted this event to promote “unity, civic responsibility, wellness, economic empowerment, fatherhood, and community accountability among Black men and supporters.” *** Early voting is open in New Jersey and voters are hitting the polls for a second day. . Democrat Mikie Sherrill and Republican Jack Ciattarelli are nearly neck-and-neck, and both have urged voters to vote early if they can. The largest indictment in nearly a century from the office of the U.S. Attorney from the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. That’s how local and federal authorities described the takedown of a massive drug operation in Kensington Friday morning Police said the more than 30 people indicted were participating in a nearly decade-long conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, heroin, and crack and powder cocaine.KYW’ Newsradio's Nigel Thompson has the details. Polls are open today for early in person voting in New Jersey. They're open every day through next Sunday, November 2nd. The Governor’s race is on top of the ticket, and all of the general assembly seats are on the ballot. KYW Newsradio's South Jersey reporter Mike Dougherty has a preview... The Department of Justice says they will send federal election observers to New Jersey, at the request of the state Republican Party ahead of next month's election. Republicans say federal intervention is necessary to ensure an accurate vote count, citing previous cases of voter fraud. The DOJ will monitor polling sites in Passaic County in North Jersey, where two city councilmen are accused of orchestrating a mail-in ballot scheme back in 2020. Passaic County is heavily Latino, but the longtime Democratic stronghold went for Trump in last year's presidential race. The New Jersey Attorney General's Office calls the DOJ's efforts "highly inappropriate for the federal government to interfere" in the election. DOJ is also planning to monitor polling sites in parts of California. Police in Montgomery County are investigating reports that someone may be leaving screws in driveways in an act of apparent vandalism. Abington Township police officers say they've received multiple reports in the Ardsley neighborhood. They say the one thing all those homes have in common is that they have what they describe as "certain political signs" in the yard. They did not elaborate on what those signs were, or if they favor one political point of view or another. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Abington Police Department. There's a new docuseries about one of the most beloved professional athletes in Philadelphia history. It's called "ALLEN IV3RSON" -- with the guard's famous number-3 replacing the "e" in Iverson. Federal authorities dismantle major drug operation in Kensington

Local and federal authorities performed what they call a historic drug raid in the city’s Kensington neighborhood. The U-S Attorney for the Eastern District says the 33-person indictment is the largest to come out of the district in a century. KYW's Nigel Thompson joins us from the Police Department's 24th-25th District, where police and FBI held a press conference. Two police officers are hospitalized after they were hit by a driver in Plymouth Township. As we hear from KYW Suburban Bureau Chief Jim Melwert, one of the officers was run over multiple times A large water main break has created a mess in North Philadelphia. A car was stuck in a sinkhole and several homes were flooded. KYW's Sunny Morgan has more... Today is the first day federal employees are going entirely without pay because of the ongoing the government shutdown. Air traffic controllers among them, and that's starting to have ripple effects at airports nationwide. US Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy stopped at Philly International today to highlight the problem. And as KYW’s justin Udo tells us, the secretary says he’s willing to freeze his own federal pay during this time, to stand in solidarity with those workers. Philadelphia isn't just the birthplace of America but home to all sorts of firsts, like the nation's first hospital, zoo and university, and the invention of the slinky. To celebrate America's 250th birthday next year, 52 weeks of firsts will be highlighted throughout the city. KYW's John McDevitt has the details....

KYW Newsradio's City Hall Bureau Chief Pat Loeb reports the third circuit panel heard arguments in the case. ### It's the 114th day of Pennsylvania's budget impasse. The Republican controlled state senate sent a spending plan to the house that they call “fiscally responsible,” but Democrats call “a waste of time” and “a joke.” KYW Newsradio Suburban Bureau Chief Jim Melwert reports. ### Still no relief for riders who rely on SEPTA regional rail for their daily commute.
