Ottawa announced a major $52 million investment to improve access to English-language health services in Quebec. The funding, which will be spread out until 2028, includes $20 million for McGill University to train health-care workers in English, and the rest for the Community Health and Social Services Network, or CHSSN, which does outreach and advocacy work for English-speaking patients across the province. Jennifer Johnson is the Executive Director of the Community Health and Social Services Network (CHSSN) — a provincial organization that works to improve access to health and social services for Quebec’s English-speaking communities. She spoke to Andrew Carter.

Their return flight was cancelled, and after being unable to secure assistance from Air Canada or even the Canadian embassy, Rina and her family endured a prolonged stay, booking expensive last-minute hotels, and eventually arranging alternate flights at a cost of approximately $10,000 out of pocket.
