#208 OTB or not OTB
4/7/2026
POINT OF ORDER: We're moving and this will be the last podcast on this feed. Please subscribe to 'OTB: A Norwich City Podcast' to continue listening — thanks!
Slightly new name, slightly new look, same podcasters, and absolutely the same vaguely coherent waffle.
The On The Ball podcast is now OTB and Norwich City have helpfully kicked off the new era with a win (they must have known), triumphing in one of their performances of the season with a 2-1 victory over Millwall at The Den.
Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham, Zoë Morgan and Steve Sanders dish out more praise to the lads as Mohamed Touré comes over all super-sub, Field plays the field, and one of the panel has to eat some humble pie over Pelle Mattsson's finishing.
Plus, big derby anticipation, canaries landing on Nunez and the pointlessness of tiny shin pads.

#207 Tattoo sleeves and water bottle hands
3/23/2026
After a midweek blip, normal service under Philippe Clement was resumed for Norwich City as they took to The Valley to grind out a 1-0 win at the weekend.
However, in every great heroic quest there's a chippy little Welsh fella … the panel of Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham and Steve Sanders examines the tape of the Nathan Jones vs Philippe Clement and the handshake that wasn't, as well as talking up Norwich City's new-found solidity, the rise and rise of Pelle Mattsson and the versatility of Liam 'Ryan' Gibbs.
Plus, there's the ultimate verdict on two left-footed lads of yore, Mattsson's hair-and-tat combo and that whole thing about paying people a wage they can live off.

206 Bend it like Kenny
3/17/2026
As if 10 minutes of eulogising about him last week wasn't enough, On The Ball has more Kenny McLean saluting to do with his free-kick setting up a 2-0 win over Preston on Saturday and helping earn Norwich City six more beautiful Championship points this week.
But the Saints are coming. Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham, Zoe Morgan and Steve Sanders look back on a glorious week, and ahead to a make-or-break one for the Canaries' play-off chances with more knocks and more rotation to navigate. A team with Kenny and Mattsson in midfield is all set for another six points though, right?
Plus, double clotheslines, how many 26+ aged Norwich City players can you name, the world's worst dive, some nice Neil Adams words, and the embarrassment of kicking a football into your own face.

#205 Who needs cups when we’ve got Kenny?
3/10/2026
And so the Norwich City FA Cup dream dies for another season — at Leeds United and at the hands of the man who last got the Canaries into a quarter-final, Daniel Farke.
Steve Sanders, Dan Brigham and Zoe Morgan lament a performance that didn't quite do Big Phil's yellows justice and ask what might have been if not for all the inexperience, those cursed injuries and just generally not being quite as good.
But with his 300 appearances and a new contract, the real hero of this podcast is Kenny McLean. Zoe reads a poem, the panel pays tribute and Dan does a mini quiz.
Plus looking up the table, looking down the table, and looking at a familiar journo from the land down under in ChatGPT Get Banged.

#204 Keeping it cool
3/3/2026
Norwich City are marching into March with two 2-0 wins this week — the latest being a win at relegation (whatever that is) rivals Leicester on Saturday.
Ryan Livermore is joined by Chris Goreham, Zoe Morgan and Steve Sanders for the latest eulogies on the Clement revolution, some love for Paris and of course, the fun of having a centre-half playing as your number nine.
Plus, Daniel Farke standing in the way of a cup run, Gunny popping up where you least expect him, our line-ups for a Norwich welcome video, Chris Goreham atop Black Beauty and trying to settle the ultimate debate: who is the coolest Norwich City player of all time?

#203 Slow starts and Josh departs
2/24/2026
Some defeats are better than others and getting warmly clapped by all four sides of Carrow Road doesn't feel like the worst response to a defeat — which was the reception for Norwich City as they went down 2-1 to Birmingham on Saturday.
The On The Ball Podcast team of Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham, Zoe Morgan and Steve Sanders reflects on yer classic game of two halves, and works out how and where the winning run ended. And the Sarg-a is finally over, as Josh Sargent looks set to put pen to paper on his protracted move to Toronto FC ... and gets the heartfelt farewell you would expect.
Plus, two clubs in an even worse crisis than having Liam Manning in charge, the prawn sandwich brigade gains another member, children with banners get short shrift, and everyone loves Refcam.

#202 Skin in the FA Cup game
2/17/2026
They're at it again. Two more wins for Norwich City in two different competitions this week, the latest for Philippe Clement's juggernaut yellows coming with a 3-1 victory over West Brom in the FA Cup on Saturday.
In round five it's Leeds and Steve Sanders, Zoe Morgan and Maddie McKenzie react hot off the press to the news of a Farke v Clement showdown at Elland Road, find time to heap more praise on the new signings, and stand aghast at the incredible start made by the Canaries' new Aussie sensation Mo Toure.
Plus, picking out the lads who need fist-pump training, Kieran Dowell posters, Alex Pritchard's imaginary wound, and a renewed request for a managerial hair swap.

#201 Will the real Slimane please stand up?
2/9/2026
Winning: it's just what we do now. The On The Ball Podcast celebrates a sixth victory in eight to open up 2026, with a no-frills 2-0 success over Blackburn at Carrow Road.
Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham and Steve Sanders zero in on some new heroes in Jose Cordoba and Anis Ben Slimane, revel in Oscar's winning role, and celebrate the potential for a new terrace hero in Mo Toure. Heck, Josh Sargent hardly even gets a mention.
Plus, a funky new pronunciation of Todd Cantwell, Bono taking corners, the cup run we all want (and now inevitably won't get), Onel's rocked up in Stoke, and never challenge Steve to anything in case he makes a quiz out of it.

#200 Field (and podcast) of dreams
2/3/2026
The double hundred is up for the On The Ball podcast and, in a serendipitous moment, it's a live deadline day special to mark the occasion!
Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham, Zoe Morgan and Steve Sanders give Sky Sports News LIVE reaction to Sam Field being (basically) announced as the window is set to close, round-up Norwich City's many incomings and not-as-many outgoings, and reflect on the progress — if not points — at Middlesbrough.
Plus, a Usual Suspects style twist at the end of ChatGPT Get Banged, 21(ish) midfielders and counting, Todd's back but will he celebrate? A series of seriously self-indulgent anniversary stats, and it's Earnie's world and we're just living in it... as Ryan resurrects one of his original quizzes: 'Earnshaw or Unsure'.

#199 In the zone and out of the zone
1/27/2026
A podcast that's a day later than usual due to the thoughtlessness of the EFL schedule, but this was not a week to be missed. Norwich City are on fire, having sprung out of the relegation zone for the first time in three long months, with a 5-0 win against West Brom last week followed by upsetting Championship leaders Coventry on Monday.
Steve Sanders, Dan Brigham, Zoe Morgan and Connor Southwell embrace the revival, celebrate a true pragmatist in Big Phil, get all excited about the emergence of a potential new star in Ali Ahmed, and then all sad about the continued Josh Sargent saga.
Plus all you ever needed to know about Kei Kamara, blatant elbows, Shakespeare characters at Norwich City and the greatest assessment of Rob Earnshaw's career since about six podcasts ago.

#198 Ahmed, Makama and the Sargent drama
1/20/2026
Stick that in your documentary. Norwich City are in the ascendancy again, with an impressive 2-1 win at in-form Wrexham keeping them on the right path for their Championship survival mission.
Ryan Livermore, Craig Draycott and Steve Sanders celebrate Makama again (ole ole), worship at the altar of Kenny, revel in Vlad's madcap antics after another wonder save, and hope that we might be getting pally with Ali.
Then over in the naughty corner, there's Mr Sargent. Oh Josh, what have you done? Plus, we pick our dream Norwich City dinner party line-ups, looks like Liam's back in (Huddersfield) town, and just what is a Dube?

#197 All we want for 2026 is...
1/7/2026
The On The Ball Podcast returns for the new year to reflect on an up-and-down Christmas schedule for Norwich City — win, loss, win and finally, loss against Stoke City at Carrow Road on Sunday.
A new year but the same podcasters as Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham, Zoe Morgan and Steve Sanders put their heads together to determine whether this inconsistency is good or bad for the Canaries’ current predicament, and where they need to strengthen in the January transfer window.
Looking ahead to 2026 as a whole, the team make their wish list for the next 12 months (which does include ‘not being relegated’) plus Ali’s in da house, Zoe’s date with destiny on an icy hill, Camilla Canary, Tony Springett learns his own name, and NO SUBS ALLOWED in Ryan’s latest quiz.

#196 A handy four points
12/16/2025
And just like that, there is hope again. Norwich City have recovered from their Vicarage Road hangover by doing what little imagined they would last week — by being good again (with a helping hand from Jovon Makama). It feels like a corner has been turned.
Join Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham and Zoe Morgan for an "end-of-the-year special" which is being used to justify an exceedingly long podcast that covers near perfection, marvellous messrs Makama & Mattsson, and answers the question: who on earth is El Lappino?

#195 Sting in the Hornets' tail
12/8/2025
Well, this feels new. The On The Ball Podcast reflects on another defeat for Norwich City but this time they were actually decent, before coming unstuck at Vicarage Road with a 3-2 defeat to Watford on Saturday.
Steve Sanders, Dan Brigham and Connor Southwell decide to focus on the promising trajectory in performances rather than the table and talk Schwartau's upturn, flying Fisher, pressing matters, Liam Manning's holidays and the return of a hero for our times: Tony Gary Springett.
Elsewhere, there's an accidental theme and a quiz in Useful or Useless Mulumbi, the greatest Norwich City comebacks since Lazarus/Springett, back-four conundrums, Linkin Park fans and, like an ultras convention in Brussels, Connor comes armed with some bald Belgians.

#194 All for one, one four-point haul
12/2/2025
The three musketeers of Ryan Livermore, Zoe Morgan and Daniel Brigham dissect the best week in recent Norwich City history, as an Oxford draw preluded QPR being put to the sword.
Four points from two big games is an outcome everyone around Carrow Road craved, and our panel talk Clement's communication, Kenny (for once) being the weakest of a good bunch, and Sarge's guaranteed goals at Vicarage Road this weekend.
Plus there's a rearranged quiz on Norwich City managerial debuts, the origins of our football love and where on earth have the coloured nets gone?

#193 It's Clement-time
11/24/2025
New manager, same old Norwich City. The On The Ball podcast is on hand again to react to a shoddy Canaries display, with their biggest defeat of the season coming at Birmingham City at the weekend — a 4-1 defeat in new boss Philippe Clement's first game. Good job the new manager bounce is a myth.
Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham, Zoe Morgan and Steve Sanders discuss Duffy's dallying, the hope of Kvistgaarden, and try to unearth a light at the end of the tunnel, courtesy of what our new manager might bring. And then there's Better-Late-Than-Never-Ben's press ganging. "It's on me" etc.
Plus, an absolutely mammoth game on Tuesday, Kenny from the halfway line, what's the most creative vegetable, proof that the panel knows nothing about construction, and your best Philippe Clement pun features (none of which were used for the title of this episode, really sorry guys).

#192 The end of an error
11/10/2025
So long Liam Manning, we hardly knew ye. The On The Ball team reacts after an eighth (EIGHTH!) straight defeat at Carrow Road to start the season saw the axe eventually, and almost inevitably, fall on Norwich City's (now former) head coach.
Steve Sanders, Zoe Morgan, Dan Brigham and Connor Southwell analyse what went wrong and whether anything went right in his 17 games, why it's a great big bloody shame it didn't work out, and pick the bones out of the Leicester defeat that sealed his fate.
Plus, there's a run through all your favourite and least favourite names in the frame (there's a few you'll have heard of), a few Warnock and non-Warnock suggestions for the next boss from our listeners, the week in Vlad, and a moustachioed gent shows up on the team coach to give Wes and Holty a steer in the right direction in ChatGPT Get Banged.

#191 Lose, boos, nobody moves
11/3/2025
Here we go again. The now familiar routine of a Norwich City defeat continued at Carrow Road on Saturday, as the Canaries fell 2-0 to Hull to make it a James Bond start to the season at home: 0-0-7. It's officially a relegation dogfight now ... only without the fight part.
The On The Ball podcast regulars Ryan Livermore, Dan Brigham, Zoe Morgan and Steve Sanders try to find a new way to ask how Liam Manning is still here, relive Mark Attanasio whistlestop tour of The Fine City, and puzzle over how a team can be quite so catastrophically bad after half-time.
Plus, Shane Duffy in Pulp Fiction, Kensell's coup, Wednesday on a Wednesday — and don't bother with Saturday Kitchen this week because the latest episode of ChatGPT Get Banged features a detailed recipe for a lasagne. Bon appetit!
