It's World Cancer Day. We heard from the voices of Gibraltar’s cancer charities, the people supporting patients and families every single day, and the message that prevention, early detection and community support truly save lives. We spoke to representatives from Cancer Relief, RICC, Cancer Research, Breast Cancer Gibraltar, as well as messages from other local cancer charities. We also discussed the weather, as the Campo de Gibraltar has been battered overnight by Storm Leonardo, prompting the Andalusian regional government to issue a red alert across the area. Robotic-assisted surgery has been introduced at the Health Authority. The equipment has already been used in five hernia operations, and opens the doors for its use in further procedures.
