The area is full of dense vegetation, beautiful clear running water, and boulder fields. What could cause a seasoned outdoorsmen and a boy scout to vanish in the region? This area is well traversed and very well known by the Summit County Search and Rescue (SAR) team that deploy to the area on a routine basis. This SAR team conducts an average of 130 searches every single year in this rugged environment and have an outstanding success rate in either rescuing the individual or locating their remains.
