The First Men in the Moon
H G Wells
When bankrupt Mr Bedford departs to Lympne to try and turn around his fortunes by writing a play, he has little inkling that he is about to meet a man who will send him tumbling into space! Dr Cavor is a scientist without an ounce of common sense, hard at work to develop a substance opaque to gravity. Bedford soon becomes alive to the financial possibilities, but after a near fatal accident upon it's creation, Cavor suggests an alternative possibility for his new Cavorite: A journey to the moon. But neither of them are prepared for the strange flora, and even stranger fauna they encounter, as the first men in the moon... will they survive to tell the tale?
