483: Sustaining the Seahawks Explosive Offense
11/6/2025
Looking back at the Seahawks prime-time victory over the Washington Commanders, was there anything that could have made it better? During the game, Greg Olsen had some intriguing praise (or criticism) about the Seahawks offense. Was it a backhanded compliment or simply an analysis of how defenses are stacking the box based on our offensive personnel. Are the Seahawks rushing woes a result of effective defensive strategies, and could the addition of Rashid Shaheed actually open up the run game? Looking ahead to the game against the Arizona Cardinals, Kyler was benched and then put on injured reserve. Seattle was able to get after the mobile quarterback earlier in the season, so can it actually benefit the Cardinals to have someone more stationary taking over for Murray? Plus, we take some live questions and comments from those who joined us live on Youtube Wednesday evening.

Trade Deadline: Seahawks Add Speed with Rashid Shaheed
11/4/2025
In this trade deadline edition of the show, we break down the Seahawks' acquisition of wide receiver Rashid Shaheed from the New Orleans Saints. The Seahawks give up a 2026 fourth and fifth-round pick to make the deal. Is the compensation is worth the immediate impact Shaheed will have on the team and the potential benefits for the Seahawks' offense? We talk about how this move helps address the lack of a dynamic WR2 while also providing insurance for the team's injuries. Beyond the trade, we look at how the Seahawks stand out among the NFC's top teams and their chances of going deep into the postseason. But could they have done more? We get into all of it and more!

Seahawks vs Commanders: The Most Complete Game Yet?
11/3/2025
The Seattle Seahawks cruised to a 38-14 victory over the Washington Commanders in front of a national audience on Sunday night. The gruesome injury late in the game to Jayden Daniels soured the win and we hope Ernest Jones and Josh Jobe come out of the game ok for our Seahawks. Sam Darnold was on point for Seattle and Jaxon Smith-Njigba continued to dominate, supported by a well-balanced offense orchestrated by Klint Kubiak. The defense stifled Washington's offense and controlled the game from start to finish. Mike Macdonald made the right call on defense with Devon Witherspoon and Josh Jobe getting the start and Nick Emmanwori demonstrating why he should never be on the bench. Without Cooper Kupp on the field, Tory Horton hauled in a couple touchdowns to make his case for future WR2 on the team and Cody White jumped up from the practice squad to add a long touchdown of his own.

Sunday Night Football - Who's Out and Who's Back for the Seahawks?
11/2/2025
Join us as we gear up for the Seahawks Sunday Night Football matchup against the Washington Commanders! How will the loss of Julian Love to injured reserve impact on the Seahawks defense and how will Mike Macdonald manage the return of Devon Witherspoon? With the Commanders recent struggles, Washington will be desperate for a win against a Seahawks team that has dominated on the road. The Commanders offense gets Jayden Daniels back, but they may not have the downfield offense to be able to attack the Seahawks defense.
With the trade deadline approaching, could that impact how Seattle handles the playtime for Tariq Woolen on Sunday? Cooper Kupp, if he plays, may be limited against the Commanders, but that could prove beneficial in going heavy with tight-end heavy formations and Robbie Ouzts returning. We get into our Do Better and Better at Life in this week's show as our podcast host is no longer supporting our standalone app. We recommend podcast apps like Pocket Casts and Castamatic to listen to your favorite shows. We touch on Russell Wilson's recent comments as he defended himself against Broncos coach Sean Payton and thank our supporters for the month of October.

481: Bye Week Breakdown - How the Seahawks Achieved 1st in the West
10/28/2025
We kick things off by celebrating the Seahawks position at the top of the NFC West after their bye week and 49ers loss to a Texans team Seattle just faced. How have the division standings shifted, what does it means for the playoff race, and are the Rams a threat or not? This week we're diving into the reasons why the Seahawks got to this point. Is this Seahawks offense sustainable with Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s getting a majority of the targets? Or maybe there are areas of the game where he needs to be targeted more!
What are the biggest problems on offense? We take a look at third down conversion rates, the running game’s inconsistencies, and how the team can improve in late-game situations. On the defensive side, we highlight the unit’s dominance, impressive stats against the run, and the collective effort that keeps the Seahawks competitive. Plus, has the defense come up with their own nickname? What exactly are these "MOB ties" that Coach Mike Macdonald is speaking about?

As the Seahawks head into their bye week with a 5-2 record, we're break down their win against the Houston Texans. We take a look at standout performances including Nick Emmanwori and his highlight play as well as the defensive prowess of Byron Murphy. Despite some offensive hiccups, they were also able to help ensure a victory heading into the break. Jaxon Smith-Njigba was penalized again for celebrating, but why did this one feel different than his sideline celebration last week? Mike Macdonald dialed up a double corner blitz that led to the Seahawks only interception in the game. We dive into that play and take a look at what helped make that play so effective.

480: Can the Seahawks Road Magic Tame the Jaguars Hype?
10/10/2025
The Seattle Seahawks take on the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend and we'd like to see our team continue the strange dichotomy of the road game success. Based on the Jaguars recent performance, are they being overhyped after wins against the Chiefs and 49ers? We take a look at the Jaguars offensive strengths, such as their run game, offensive line, and receiving corps, breaking down their potential impacts on the game. While they've had several standout players who have helped to generate turnovers, it doesn't mean the team is without weaknesses on that side of the ball. Seattle will need to hold onto their edge in and third-down and red zone conversion rates while avoiding those same costly mistakes that doomed the Niners and KC.
In Do Better this week, our NFC West rivals are in the spotlight as Jonathan Gannon showed questionable leadership on the Arizona Cardinals sideline this past week. But does Kyler Murray actually deserve some of the heat that he's been getting on social media lately? Better at life honors go out to a Swiss company revolutionizing steel recycling using solar power and a Mariners fan who gets the "prepper" stamp of approval.

479: Seahawks Defense Breaks Down, AJ Barner Breaks Out
10/8/2025
The Seahawks put up 35 points on Sunday, but the interior of the offensive line did not grade out well according to Pro Football Focus? What goes into the grading metrics and how does a player like Anthony Bradford get a zero grade in the pass game? We contrast Bradford's performance with Grey Zabel on the opposite side. A mix of the quick game, moving the pocket and some elusiveness form Sam Darnold helped to make this offense shine and performances by AJ Barner and Tory Horton are helping contribute to this offensive success.
The conversation shifts to the defensive side, where linebacker and secondary play were notably problematic. Missed tackles and lapses in coverage allowed the Buccaneers to convert multiple third-and-long situations. Up front, the pass rush wasn't effective and that leads to a discussion about potential moves the Seahawks could make. Pursuing Trey Hendrickson from the Bengals could bolster the defensive line, but would the cost be worth it? Are there some other potential trade options the Seahawks should consider?
