Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement on the first phase of US President Donald Trump's peace plan, signalling a possible step toward ending the two-year conflict. Trump confirmed that all remaining hostages in Gaza are set to be released early next week, calling it a “momentous breakthrough.” Israeli officials stated that the ceasefire will begin within 24 hours, with hostages to be freed within 72 hours.
