Local Bakery Gets Accused of Exploiting Kids After Introducing Business Program

Sweet Cheeks Bakery in Amesbury, MA is a local bakery known for their cookies. To help kids learn about running a business, owner Renee Terry introduced the “Mini Manager” program that allows kids to experience firsthand what it looks like to run a business. The program received lots of positive feedback from kids, parents, and the community so that’s why it came as a surprise to Renee when she received a letter from the Attorney General’s office stating they received a complaint alleging she was violating MA Child Labor Laws. The Strait of Hormuz is Wide Open for Travel

The Strait of Hormuz was opened Friday following a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon. “The passage for all commercial vessels through Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open,” said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. In response to the news, the price of oil quickly plummeted by more than 10 percent, to less than $89 per barrel. President Trump said he expects a deal with Iran soon and that peace talks could resume this weekend. We discussed this good news and any new developments that emerge out of the Middle East. New Poll Shows Markey Leading Moulton in Senate Democratic Primary

According to a new Suffolk University/Boston Globe poll, incumbent Senator Ed Markey leads challenger Congressman Seth Moulton by 17 points in the Senate Democratic Primary for Massachusetts. Concerns have come up regarding Markey’s age (79) and whether he’s too old to serve another 6-year term, however according to the polls, age criticisms don’t appear to threaten Markey’s front runner status.
