Kelly Oubre Jr. scored a game-high 29 points to help get the Sixers back in the win column with a 129-105 win over the Brooklyn Nets. Oubre Jr. dropped 22 first-quarter points to set the tone for his big night and the team's fifth victory of the young season. The Philadelphia 76ers put up another fight but are undefeated no more as the Boston Celtics visit Philadelphia on Halloween, defeating the Sixers 109-108 in another hard-fought game. Boston led by as many as 24 points only to have the 76ers trim the lead to one late in the fourth quarter. But, Jaylen Brown (game-high 32 points) and company were just too much as they won their third row and snapped Philadelphia's win streak. Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 26, 14 assists + eight rebounds, Joel Embiid added 20 in a season-high 25 minutes, Kelly Oubre Jr. and VJ Edgecombe finished with 17 each. Tyrese Maxey led a 10-0 surge to send the game to overtime, before taking over for good in the extra frame as the Sixers completed a 19-point comeback to improve to a perfect 4-0 on the season. Sixers' 39-point fourth quarter fuels another comeback in a 125-121 win over the Charlotte Hornets, improving to 2-0. Quentin Grimes hit the game-winning three pointer with 15 seconds to play, giving the 76ers the lead for good as he finished the night with 24 points in 30 minutes off the bench. Andre Drummond was tremendous in the fourth, hitting the glass and with some timely buckets, finishing with seven points and 13 rebounds in 15-plus minutes.
