Episode 3409: I WAS MAN'S TRASH, NOW I'M IN THE KING'S TREASURY by Georgia Smith
7/31/2025
I Was Man's Trash, Now I'm in the King's Treasury by Georgia Smith
I Was Man's Trash, Now I'm in the King's Treasury, is about a woman writing to her daughter, Tee, who wanted to know about her mother's life, and to any other daughters and sons that have been hurt or devastated in life no matter how old or young they may be. All though this is a story about my life, and my choices, as you read this please remember that it is never too late to change your future. This is not meant to be a sad story, but one of victory.
It is my hope that some would be healed while reading the pages of this book.
Where men literally walked on me, stepped over me, and threw me aside as trash, The King, of kings saw me, picked me up, cleaned and polished me, and declared me to be a valuable jewel.
I decided to go on an adventure to see if I could find some sort of connection from my past to the person that I am to day. So where should I start? ... at this house I found out that I was black. I never thought about being black or white. One Christmas mama bought me this little rubber doll that had molded black hair, black eyes, and brown skin. I told mama that I didn't want that burnt up doll. When she told me that it was the same color that I was, I was shocked.
As a teen I needed to get away from all of the crazy things that were happening to me so I ran away. I had fallen into such a pit of low self-esteem that I had decided to use my own body to get me out of the mess that I was in.
Believe, believe in yourself, believe that you are somebody, believe that you can rise above where you are now. My book ( I was man's trash, now I'm in the King's treasure can help you believe again. Because of life I had been spiritually destroyed, it seemed with no where to turn or no one to turn to for help life wasn't worth living. Being numerously raped and degraded I lost all self esteem. My life was turned around because of the love of God. Yours can be too.
This is who I am today, Georgia Smith is a graduate of MTI Business School. She is a freelance writer, and painter. She has spoken to groups of women about the subject of this book, particularly in church groups. She has also spoken to men, and mixed genders in places of business on other subjects.
Georgia was born in a small town in California, and moved to Sacramento California where she met and married her husband of thirty-six years. They have a blended family of four children and seven grandchildren of whom they enjoy as often as possible, especially on holidays, along with their two dogs and six koi and goldfish. She has two sisters, as well as one brother who has moved on with the Lord to better things. She attends a great church of mixed ethnic backgrounds which she loves.

Cold Case Investigators: The Prostitute Killer by Merrill Vaughan
For years, someone has been killing prostitutes on the same day of the same month; in their business room. However, the first one was a mistake. All of the killings were in the state of California with the exception of one that was in Las Vegas.
The first one was just a weary traveler that just wanted a place to sleep for the night before seeing her son and daughter-in-law the next day. For years, the Bakersfield Police Department tried to solve the case but to no avail.
Soon, the highly successful Cold Case Investigators, or CCI, were called in to help solve the killing of Denise Robinson. Soon the lead of CCI investigator, Patrick Johnson, a retired U.S. Air Force Security Police Investigator found move victims of what was soon to be called The Prostitute Killer.
Even though he eventually thought he knew who did the killings, along with an accomplice, it was not until the killer and accomplice died in a murder-suicide act.
I was born in Santa Anna, CA January 3, 194,9 and raised in Monrovia and Duarte, CA. Graduated from Duarte High School in 1967 and Citrus Jr. Collee in 1970. Entered the U. S. Episode 3406: THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF'S TROPHY by Paul H. D'Anna
7/31/2025
The Commander In Chief's Trophy 2nd Edition: Desert Storm The Beginning of the Air Assault by Paul H. D'Anna
In 1959, Paul D’Anna read about West Point cadets attempting to make off with the Naval Academy’s mascot Bill the Goat. Since then, he has followed other similar accounts and was inspired to blend them all together in a book. For, while America’s different military academies are rightly prestigious and highly disciplined institutions, students there still have a campus life. They have sports rivalries and a sense of youthful camaraderie like any other school in the country. Against this backdrop, there are still plenty of intriguing and humorous stories to tell.
Paul is a happy and content retiree who has had quite an extensive career in technology. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from LSU, which landed him jobs at IBM, Shell Oil, and Exxon Mobil. Today, he spends his days gardening and writing down interesting tales for publishing. Aside from technology, he is also fascinated by the going-ons in the U.S. military, such as contemporary events like Operation Desert Storm as well as the less-talked-about life among students at the country’s various (and prestigious) military academies.

Episode 3395: A REMEMBRANCE OF THINGS FORGOTTEN by Steven Chananie
7/24/2025
Remembrance of Things Forgotten by Steven Chananie
A Remembrance of Things Forgotten describes Steven's journey from being a high-powered lawyer, to going to Seminary, and then to being an interfaith hospital chaplain intern seeing cancer patients on two oncology units at a major New York Medical Center. The book describes his visits with patients and explores the heartbreak - and inspiration - of their suffering and how they opened his heart to the precious worth of their lives and to the very real presence of a divine love, realer than real, shining concretely in each room and in each patient's heart. The resulting spiritual insights provide a powerful - and even prophetic - message to us all as individuals and as a society: how a love of infinite worth shines within each of us and is present in everyday acts of simple kindness and compassion; and how the ultimate meaning of our lives resides in that love, and not in the transitory whims of career, ambition, power, wealth, or possessions.
While we often forget these simple "truths" in our hurried life, we are nevertheless capable of remembering what we have forgotten if we only notice what is before us, open our hearts, and quiet our minds. If we do take the time to notice and see what is before us, we will see God's love shining closer to us than we are to ourselves; and we will hear God calling us, not necessarily to do great things, but to grow each day in loving-kindness and take care of each other with patience, kindness and a listening heart.
After 37 years as a practicing attorney, Steven stepped down as a partner at his law firm to go Union Theological Seminary in New York City to pursue a Master of Divinity Degree. While at Union, he was accepted as part of his Seminary training into a part-time chaplaincy intern program at a major New York City hospital system. His time as a hospital chaplain took his spirituality and faith out of the realm of theory and into a lived reality of quietly accompanying cancer patients and embracing the presence of divine love shining in each hospital room and in the heart of each patient.
