On this episode, we’re going “On the Hunt” with wildlife biologist and longtime cryptid field researcher, Keith Mclain to discuss his encounters with the night walkers, the Appalachian little people, cloaked Bigfoot, portals and so much more! Once they realized there is much more in the woods than just Sasquatch, they created ERG to focus on the big picture… to look at other areas (ET and paranormal) and other cryptids to see just what fits where in the grand puzzle. He has had many close encounters over the past several years in all 3 areas. Additionally, he has substantial training in Remote Viewing, which has turned out to be quite a valuable tool in working that grand puzzle. Keith is an experienced tracker who has trained with numerous groups in the United States. The griffin is a mythical creature with a lion’s body and an eagle’s head and wings, said to the guardians of treasure, scaring would-be thieves away. In Greek mythology, they pulled the carriage of the Sun god, Apollo, since they were known as the strongest creature that could fly, Stories of Griffins began in Asia. Miners searching for gold in the Gobi Desert said they fought griffins often, claiming they guarded the gold they were mining. Miners had to get past the griffins to make their riches! Some experts believe the griffin is based on a real animal. Scientists have recently spotted a mysterious object flying through our Solar System. A prominent Harvard astrophysicist has claimed this mystery object in our Solar System could be an alien spacecraft, the size of Manhattan, which “may attack Earth by November.” A draft scientific paper, which was published on Tuesday, has proposed that the object, 3I/ATLAS, might be alien technology and could make a surprise attack on our planet. The object, now officially designated 3I/ATLAS (previously known as A11pl3Z), is believed to have come from a distant star system and is travelling at over 60 kilometers per second. 3I/ATLAS was first spotted on July 1 by the Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS) survey telescope at Río Hurtado, Chile. Estimates suggest it could be between 10 and 20 kilometers wide, though it may be smaller if composed mostly of reflective ice. Is this the beginning of the long anticipated fake alien invasion, or could this potentially be a real extraterrestrial threat to humanity? Early settlers of Kimble County in Texas believed that an old Native American shaman, one of the last survivors of his tribe, could change into a large wolf. As revenge or punishment towards the white settlers who slaughtered his tribe and stole his people’s land, at night the shaman would turn himself into a giant wolf-like creature and roam the countryside at night killing livestock and any unfortunate settler that happened to be outside after dark. Some speculate that this creature could be a Bigfoot, a black bear or panther. This creature is known as the Beast of Bear Creek. In 1901, a young girl was abducted and carried away into what she described as the "Bear King's" lair. She escaped, and a hunting party of men tracked the animal, confronted it, and eventually shot and killed it, but not before the Bear King beat its chest and "screamed like a panther." There is a demon dog that haunts a small town of Valle Cruses, North Carolina, near Boone. St. John’s Episcopal Church has a cemetery that is haunted by a hulking black dog, the size of a man, with glowing red eyes. Some students from a nearby college were driving past the cemetery one night, when a shadowy figure jumped in front of their vehicle, scaring the students. They sped off, and to their horror, looked back and saw the canine beast following them and pacing the vehicle, even at high speeds. The Black Dog is a well-known staple of Appalachian folklore. It is a spirit of death, and when one sees it, they are marked for death. Entire bloodlines become cursed when one encounters it, and you should never look it directly in the eyes. Legend says, they’re connected to lightning storms and the crossroads. Tales of the Snarly Yow, a dog-like beast that walks on two feet like a human, began in the 1700’s with German immigrants in the Appalachians, and Dogman sightings persist in present day Appalachia. Some believe that natural land masses, trees, and formations that we see today in forests, parks, and gardens, are not trees, mountains, or mesas, but they are something much larger than our eyes haven’t been trained to see. Native American legends of Florida and South Carolina include encounters with the Inzignanin, fishlike humanoids that were five feet in height, covered in scales, and had inflexible tails. They were said to inhabit Chicora, which is modern-day South Carolina. These Fish-men were believed to consume only raw fish and are said to have died out when the areas fish population depleted. For decades, Bigfoot, werewolf and Dogman sightings have been reported in Paulding County, located in northwest Georgia, via official eyewitness accounts from locals and calls into the local 911 center. In 1585, English explorer Walter Raleigh landed on the coast of what is now North Carolina and established the Roanoke Colony. A small barrier island that is only eight miles in length, Roanoke rests on the northern coastal tip of North Carolina. Wet but appearing fertile, the island was not the first choice of John White, the governor of the colony, when he and his settlement of 117 people, 97 men, 17 women, and nine boys, made landfall in July 1587. There were food struggles and attacks by Native Americans, and a ship was sent back to England for supplies, but that ship would not return until 1590 due to the Spanish Armada’s assault on England. Upon return, the entire colony had disappeared without a trace, only the word “CROATOAN” carved into a tree. For centuries, the disappearance of the settlers has remained a mystery. Several theories include theories of their disappearance including starvation or disease, cannibalism, an enemy attack, or they likely just moved to another colony. But others feel this was the work of something haunting and sinister, like werewolves, a Wendigo, or the reptilian devil known to inhabit the island, according to local Native American legends. Recent Dogman or werewolf sightings, and the high strangeness of the area, are believed to give these theories more credibility.
