Last night, SLCPD was informed of an alleged gunman on the campus of the University of Utah, which turned out to be a swatting hoax. Swatting is the dangerous practice of calling in a high-intensity police response to a hoax scene. Shutdown day 43: The End

Yesterday marked the 43rd and last day of the government shutdown as President Trump signed the bill to end the standoff between Republicans and Democrats. The healthcare provisions were left out of this iteration, but are expected to be argued in January when we may see another shutdown. Greg and Holly spoke to Deseret News Congressional Correspondent Cami Mondeaux about the process of getting SNAP benefits back on their feet.
